Andre Lavis McDonald who is also musically known as: Dre' Rock is the son of Joseph and Margurite McDonald he was Born March 1, 1969 in Cleveland, Ohio.

At age 10 he began learning how to record his voice and write songs when his father Joseph bought him a tape recorder for Christmas. Dre' Rocks Mother taught him to respect and appreciate all genres of music as she was an avid R&B, Soul, Funk, Rock, and Gospel listener.

Dre’ Rock's music is very unique it’s a mixture of Soul, Jazz, R&B, Funk, Rock, Electronica, Rare groove, Deep Soulful House and hip-hop smooth

Andre “Dre Rock” McDonald is an international artist who performed in London England with UK Funk Band Wonderlush as the opening act for the Legendary Godfather of Funk George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic at the London Forum.

Andre "Dre' Rock" McDonald has worked with Emmy Award Winning Creative Arts Sound Designer Jason Hausman of Hot Sake' Creative Arts Company.

Andre "Dre' Rock" McDonald was featured on 3 tracks off The Soulpersona the Remixes Vol. 1 album which features legendary R&B/ soul singer Joycelyn Brown. The album was produced by UK Raregrooves producer & arranger Morgan "Soulpersona" Howell.

Andre " Dre' Rock" McDonald is multi-talented. He is also a voice over talent and has been involved in numerous voice over projects radio commercials as well as lending his voice to different company brands and products.

As a young boy listening to records he spent countless hours singing along with his mother to her favorite tunes. The jazziness that can be traced in his work comes from his father Joseph who's back music room where his collection of jazz records were stored and showcased became Dre' Rocks haven as a young boy. Sadly Margurite McDonald passed away in 1981 due to Breast Cancer when Dre' Rock was just 12 years old. Soaking up all that his mother taught him about good quality music during her short time here on earth He decided at age 12 that he would become a recording artist in honor of all the beautiful days that he spent with his Mother Margurite Listening and learning about good quality music. He is ceo/artist/songwriter/ and voice over talent at his Independent label Margurite McDonald Music Margurite McDonald Music is a member of The American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers (ASCAP)
